About The Author:

Nitish Kumar Chandrakar was born on 29 July 2004 and is a resident of Bhalpahari, a small village in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. He does not consider himself a writer or poet. His journey into writing began not with the intention of building a literary identity, but with a desire to preserve the many emotional memories and experiences associated with his grandfather.
For Nitish, his grandfather was more than an elderly member of the family. He was a guide, an inspiration, and an important influence on his understanding of life. His grandfather’s thoughts, values, behaviour, and way of living continue to remain alive in Nitish’s memories.
Through Nayak, Nitish has tried to preserve these memories in words so that the personality, struggles, values, and life lessons of his grandfather can reach future generations. The book is therefore an expression of love, respect, and gratitude rather than simply an attempt to establish himself as an author or poet.
