Description
About The Book
This interdisciplinary edited volume designed to provide a scientific platform for understanding the rapidly changing challenges facing wildlife and biodiversity conservation. The book addresses the complex interactions among ecological change, biodiversity loss, climate change, habitat degradation and fragmentation, human activities, environmental policy, and community participation.
The volume aims to bring together original research, scientific reviews, field-based studies, case studies, and evidence-based perspectives from researchers, academicians, wildlife biologists, conservation practitioners, environmental managers, and policymakers.
The book will explore innovative solutions such as long-term biodiversity monitoring, ecological restoration, landscape connectivity, climate-adaptive management, community-based conservation, and the integration of science with environmental policy and management. Recent conservation literature increasingly emphasizes that effective biodiversity conservation requires ecological quality, connectivity, adaptive management, and inclusive governance rather than protection alone.
A major strength of the proposed volume is its future-oriented scientific perspective. The book encourages contributors to identify knowledge gaps, emerging conservation challenges, and innovative research directions.
