Author is a senior healthcare professional and a health care teacher with more than 40 years of extensive experience in clinical medicine. During his long professional carrier, has the opportunity to closely interact with women of diverse socio-cultural and educational back grounds, which has given him a sense of deeper understanding of the challenges that women commonly face during pregnancy, childbirth and care of the newborn afterwards. Motherhood perhaps is the most challenging and transformative phase of a woman’s life. Author believes that educating women about physiology of pregnancy labor and child care can empower the women to be more decisive in executing and taking appropriate decisions as situations demand ensuring safety and longevity.
