About The Author
Dr. Thomas Mathew holds diverse academic qualifications, including B.Com, BHM, MHRM, MBA, M.Phil, and PhD, reflecting his strong foundation in commerce, hospitality, and management studies. He is presently serving as the Head of the Department of Housekeeping at the Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bengaluru, where he is actively involved in academic leadership, curriculum development, and faculty mentoring.
With significant academic and administrative experience, Dr. Mathew plays a key role in university-level academic governance. He serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Studies (BoS) in Hotel Management and Chairperson of the Board of Examiners (BoE) for the BHM program under Bengaluru North University. In addition, he is a BoS member at Chandigarh University and also serves as a BoS member at SEA Hotel Management College, Bengaluru, an autonomous institution. His contributions continue to strengthen hospitality education through academic planning, quality assurance, and industry-aligned curriculum development.
