Dr. Deepak Lall stands a distinguished horticultural scientist-cum academician serving as an Assistant Professor, Dept. of Horticulture, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P.), India. He holds Ph.D. Horticulture (Fruit Science). Dr. Lall has made significant contributions through teaching, research, extension, and consultancy. His research focus encompasses fruit crop production, post-harvest management, value addition, hi-tech horticulture and organic farming. His scholarly output is extensive and diverse with 10 years of professional experience. He has authored numerous research papers, reviews, book chapters, and articles in reputed journals. Currently, he’s guiding 12 post-graduate and 1 Ph.D. student and actively contributes to professional societies, committees, and academic leadership. He’s the author and editor of several horticultural books. Dr. Lall is a recipient of several prestigious awards in pedagogy. Dr. Deepak has also actively contributed to academia-industrial consultancy projects as (Principal Investigator and Co- Principal Investigator) funded by Wadhwani AI (Lords Education and Health Society- LEHS, New Delhi) and Agri- Tech Start-Up Company, NovosEdge (Agridoot) Pvt. Ltd. Bhopal.

Mr. Siddesh H. Alavekar is a dedicated Ph.D. scholar (Fruit Science), Dept. of Horticulture, SHUATS, Prayagraj. He has contributed through books, research papers, reviews, and articles, including his authorship of Plant Propagation of Horticulture Crops. He’s actively participating in national and international academic events and has received awards such as the Best Research Scholar Award (2025), ICAR–NAARM and “Outstanding Contribution in Horticulture (Fruit Science)” Award by K.L. Foundation, Prayagraj. He is the founder of Alavekar’s Agro and Alavekar Joy Farms, promoting agrotourism and rural entrepreneurship. His innovations includes pioneering organic cinnamon and black pepper cultivation in Konkan region (MH).
3rd Author:
Ms. Aditi Sagar is currently pursuing her M.Sc. Hort. (Fruit Science), Dept of Horticulture, SHUATS, Prayagraj. A passionate horticulturist and research scholar, she focuses on fruit production and disease management in horticultural crops. She has contributed through book chapters, research papers, reviews, and articles, and has received “Outstanding Contribution in (Fruit Science) Award (2025)”, 1st prize in Oral Presentation Award (2025) and “Best Horticulturist Award (2023)” for her excellence in research contribution. She actively participates in national and international academic events. Her work reflects strong scientific aptitude to advance sustainable fruit production systems and horticultural research innovation.

Dr. Aascharya Pandey is a dedicated horticultural research scholar specializing in Ph.D. Hort. (Fruit Science), Department of Horticulture, SHUATS), Prayagraj. His research focuses on innovative fruit production techniques and advanced post-harvest management strategies designed to enhance fruit quality, extend shelf life, and improve overall productivity. His notable work includes improving the post-harvest shelf life of kiwi under warm climatic conditions and enhancing the quality and storability of guava through targeted pre-harvest treatments, providing impactful solutions for growers and the horticulture industry. Dr. Pandey is recognized for his innovative approach and strong research foundation. He has received the Young Researcher Award (2024) and Young Professional Award (2025) for his academic excellence. He has authored research papers, review articles, book chapters, and popular articles, showcasing his scientific communication skills. Actively involved in conferences, symposiums, workshops, trainings, Kisan Melas, and extension activities.
